At night, the use of high intensity search lights can temporarily dazzle and disorient individuals in the light beam. The beam may be used continuously, or strobed on and off. High Intensity lights can be effectively used for crowd control and temporary incapacitation. The medical effects are of brief duration, resolve spontaneously, and require no treatment.
