Frozen Blood Storage Lockers

In this and other lockers, frozen blood is stored.

Whenever blood is needed or felt to possibly be needed, the frozen blood is removed from these freezers and taken to a blood processor. The processor thaws the blood and removes the glycerine storage medium.

Should the power supply be interrupted, a back-up method of maintaining the frozen blood is found in a carbon dioxide system.
