SKIN:
acne, allergic contact dermatitis, atrophy, burning, dryness,
folliculitis, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation, irritation, itching,
miliaria, perioral dermatitis, secondary infection, striae

MISC:
systemic absorption of topical corticosteroids has produced reversible
HPA axis suppression (more likely with occlusive dressings, prolonged
administration, application to large surface areas, liver failure, and
in children
|
Dosage:
-
Administered
topically (cream, ointment, gel, solution)
-
Adult
and Child: TOP apply to affected area 2-3 times daily, rub completely
into skin
Special
considerations:
-
Avoid
contact with eyes
-
Do
not use on weeping, denuded, or infected areas
-
Do
not put bandages or dressings over treated area unless absolutely
necessary
-
Discontinue
if local irritaion or fever develops
