manufacturer’s instructions for appropriate dilution or volume
for dissolving drugs to be injected, including rate of
administration

reconstituted (diluted or dissolved) drugs for clarity and freedom
from precipitation or discoloration prior to administration

Use
with caution in diabetic patients
Adverse

local tenderness, abscess, tissue necrosis or infection at
injection site

thrombosis, phlebitits

Dosage:
Administered
intravenously

The
volume of the preparation to be used for diluting or dissolving any
drug for injection should follow the manufacturer recommendations of
the drug to be administered.

These
parenterals should be inspected visually for particulate matter and
discoloration prior to administration, whenever solution and container
permit.
