Prilosec OTC (Omeprazole)

Category:

  • Antacid

Description:

  • Proton pump inhibitor

 Indications:

  • GERD

  • Risk reduction for NSAID-associated gastric ulcer

  • H. pylori eradication to reduce the risk of duodenal Uucer recurrence

Precautions:

Adverse Reactions (Side Effects):

  • Headache

  • Diarrhea

  • Nausea

  • Flatulence

  • Abdominal pain

  • Constipation

  • Dry mouth

Dosage:

  • One PO QD x 14 days.
  • May repeat in 4 months.
