CRP (C Reactive Protein)

CRP is produced mainly in the liver, and is stored in various tissues throughout the body.

It is normally present in the blood in only small amounts.

In response to any inflammatory stimulus (trauma, infection, autoimmune reactions, etc.), CRP is released and the blood levels will rise.

Normal Values*

Men-Women < 0.8 mg/dl

*These are general values taken from a variety of sources. The actual normal values may vary from lab to lab and from one type of testing protocol to another.
